TVScope Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-27

What is collected

None. TVScope does not collect, transmit or sell personal information. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The developer runs no server that the app talks to.

What stays on your device, and how it is used

Local network. TVScope uses local network access to find Apple TV devices on the network you are already on, to pair with them, and to receive their screen and sound. This traffic goes directly between your device and your Apple TV. Nothing leaves that network.

Screenshots and recordings. They are written to the app's own storage on your device. They go to Photos only when you turn on Save to Photos or choose it yourself. TVScope asks only for permission to add to Photos, not to read your library.

Microphone. Used only while a recording is running and Record Microphone is on. Your voice is mixed into that recording on the device. TVScope does not record video from your device's camera.

Pairing information. Pairing keys are kept in the device Keychain. Device names, addresses and settings are kept in the app's storage. None of this is sent to the developer.

Diagnostics. Logs contain device names, timings and error codes, never screen contents. They stay on your device until you choose to share them.

Third parties

Data is shared with no one, and TVScope contains no third-party analytics or advertising. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store; the developer does not receive or store your payment details.

Retention and deletion

The developer holds none of your data, so there is nothing to delete on our side. Delete TVScope, or its captures in the Library, to remove everything stored on your device.

Withdrawing consent

Turn off Local Network, Microphone or Photos access for TVScope in your system Settings at any time.

Children

TVScope does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
